uncharted territory
though internal compass
assures me of the way

of the warmth where

No corporeal form
to hold tender the touch

I am empty
now that in your absence

not even the space
between the lines can fill
and I map the way
in days of grey
that mixes the black of me
with the white in you
to a color denying both
