Rolling green turf, trees still in leaf.
Blackbirds scratch aside the undergrowth searching for food, while the smell of rain wafts on the wind.

Grey clouds bring in breeze, woodpigeons call across the park from the top of tall trees.Martins circle and dive above my head, for them soon food will be hard to find.

Ticking robins and rattling wrens duel in song.
Greenfinches flit from tree to tree, calling sweetly.
Goldfinches and great tits fly nervously, suspicious of slight movement.

Stealthily silent Sparrowhawk, hunting through the canopy of trees, flushing finches and tits, just waiting for his moment.

Darkly crowding trees have already dropped their leaves, golden yellow under their boughs.
Breeze blows brisker and the trees sway gently.

Distant landmarks are dull edged by the early evening mist arriving.
Gulls pass overhead heading for their roosts, arriving late, but eventualy.

Sitting; sleping silence surrounds me, breeze blows onto me, refreshingly.
Early autumn evenings of pure magic like this is what i have had in my dreams.

Hedgehogs snuffle and search for food, while bats fly close to trees, in the moonlights silvery stream.

My love if the birds and mother nature could thank you for writing so brilliantly about them they would all sit at your feet toasting to you ,their friend of nature.

You should become a writer for National Geographic magizine. Then they wouldn't need photos because your words are photographic and detailed. I love how descritpive you are. Details mean alot!

This was a lovely scene about autumn in the park the only thing, I wished I could be there in person!

xxxx love ~ARH

True poets don't write with the ink of quill or pen, but with the ink of their heart~
