Please Mommy don't leave me here
I may not be real, but I seen to fear
That no one will find me, no one will care
For many years I shall stare
Into the blue fairy's eyes, in hopes to be
A real boy, you shall see.

I will come back, with my arms open wide
And into your loving embrace I shall no longer hide
For I will be alive, things will be the same
You will love me always, no longer will I feel shame.
But...I must ponder, will you leave me again
To fend for myself, in the great wide open?

I may not have senses, muscles, or blood
But if I were real, the tears would flood
Down my innocent face, salty to taste
To know that my time with you was a waste
Of your precious moments with your "son"
I had hopes that I was the only one
That you could love, and hold, and share
Our lives together, but you don't care.

Your leaving me here to suffer the loss
Of my time with my Mommy, my love has been tossed
Away with my giggles, the good times and bad
Don't you recognize Mommy the joy that we had.
Please rethink your decision to flee
For I will be real one day, you'll see.

Thanks guys!!  I watched the movie, and the message was just stuck in my head, so I felt the need to express it.  This poem can be interpreted in many different ways.  One of my friends thought it reminded them of abortion, and they were able to relate to it in that fashion.

Thanks for the feedback

Thanks!  That's the wonderful aspect of poetry; it gives yourself the opportunity to express yourself to the fullest ability
