state of confusion

An ocean whirls inside of her: it waves from the beach
where we used to swim in big surf.
I learned not to touch sand, but to trust
her hand and the sea as guides.

Her face mirrors time; an earthly mirage
swept away by springtime-jade eyes.
Her gift is caring, even now, as old friends
become new children.

The coastal morning fog finds her strolling dewy greens
with other ladies of repose. Sun weathered legs are strong above
ankle-length socks. Spotted hands hold silver wands aloft.

On a cliff top, she grows things squirrels won’t eat:
tomatoes, flowers, strong herbs. It’s the birds she loves.
In the background, a circle of chalky coral slowly grays.

What a beautiful and soothing trip.  You
painted her well.  Certainly a grand lady.

Her face mirrors time; an earthly mirage

Her gift is caring,

I think you share that gift... for this vivid portrait is filled with caring and compassion... Excellent!

(smiles) Oh Corinne, this is such breathtaking inagery, sweet friend, I could feel the gift of giving here, and I am happy because by May of 2005, I will be moving to Portland and then I'll be right near the ocean, yay, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Corinne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
