The Remains Of Something

you and I live
between dusty roads
love lost in
the piling of rocks
a storm scattering
each time crossed
of weakness broken
carried on breeze
remains of strength
outlining surfaces
powdery fears filtering
from solid silence
this dirt cloth loosely
covering past spreads
but what is the shape
of things to come
will it just be a layering
of more pounding
to where we break
through to the other side
writing our names
in shapes of the crumbling
or are we pearling
a monument to loneliness

Wow -- just dunno how you do it....things like this

writing our names
in shapes of the crumbling

are so emotive, with so much of the texture of meaning....excellence!
