Listless days encompass me
I feel so alone right now
And I don’t know why
What is this feeling in me
Why won’t it go away
I can’t run from it forever
One day I’ll have to face it
But I can’t do it
My mind won’t accept it
Can’t do it I can’t
I don’t know why I tend to give up
On life on love on friendship
On forever there’s no such thing
I only have today, no tomorrow
No yesterday only sorrow
I’m sorry for the wrong I’ve done
And sorry for the right
I try to hide away from all you know
And all I can’t admit to
But I’m lost in my own misconceptions
Lies are lies and my life is one
And all I really want is to sleep

Let go of your concept of reality and try mine for a while...then we'll see how long you last.

Rather than hiding, talk.  It could help, ya know? :-)

Well put together piece. You've put a lot of yourself into it. Those always make the most worthwhile poems to read. Hope things are not always so dreary. Keep up the great work.

Thanx for replying.
And this was one of the poems where I had no idea what I had written until I went back after and read it.
Then it was a surprise.

I can definetely relate to you, being a teen as well.  Things are rough but just keep your head up. I love the lines:
On forever there’s no such thing
I only have today, no tomorrow
No yesterday only sorrow

Good write

wow...its strange and almost sad how well i can relate to every single word. the one escape is sleep. we'll get over it someday i suppose, but till then, let's enjoy the dreams.

and even when everything was wrong, and we were mad at the world, it was still beautiful.
