Stubborn twilight comes earlier now
Lacking a curious contradiction
From the way she visited every night a month ago
Minute by minute, she grows shorter, and a little more tired.
She starts for home providing a road
To a forth coming ancient white empire…Winter
Traveling Northward like a swarm of flies
Perhaps I fear her cool discontent, yet respect her demise
Holding no disgrace in any of her assignments
As she is a Zen to the level of my eyes
So at midnight I cross optimism, who
For the sake of time and need, took up
This year’s crops in abundance and I can see thousands
Of droplets, and the great author of spiritual work
Idling to strike up conversations and see what was and what is
We, cultivate a well-mannered spoken prose which is attainable
Stretching together in the sun, in a pool of emulating July love
All afternoon she is cutting leaves from the trees
While I adjust poorly to her dimming light, and cool mystic breeze
Buzzing all shadows of spring greeting my eyes
We laugh and play, while summer now falls like falling leaves
Held eternally, as hours, minutes, grow shorter
And I’m out to catch Indian summer one more time
Not threatened by an early frost or saintly time
Who I might add, is an excellent translator
And all troubles fall away….into the designation of all things
Nevertheless, currently, pure color illuminates a profile
Scarcely breathing, despite the hum of winter’s tease
Who imagines a brush in an artist’s fingers
So, much like mankind, isn’t it…simulating, I mean…translating
All the emotions of God, with hands painting nature.
Landscapes dramatized by the personal emotions of the onlookers
Or much better defined as….”the muses”.
Of golden crystals spinning through all of our earth
Gazing through slender veils, textures performing together on the
Greatest expanse of heaven…
Creating and scattering brilliant piping around the bosoms of our world
Flashing mid-afternoon light….
Moving fondly, among many lives, languages and epochs

yes it is both stimulating and wonderful, Lee.

And I’m out to catch Indian summer one more time
Not threatened by an early frost or saintly time

Loved the above and I, too, am out to catch Indian Summer (which I think will come after this week's storm hits)

Love how you write.

I too love your style of writing Lee.
It flows so gently down the page
taking the reading along for the ride.
Now, I too await Indian Summer....
one more taste of this years warmth.

And, Lee, you painted a beautiful picture
with your words.
