Sea Foam

salty liquid
did not
wash you
my mind
holds you
as close
as ever
tides come
and go
but the ocean
still flows

Yes it does, but in time it fades and a new fresh memory will take it's space.I enjoyed this.

Some things are a constant...the oceans flow is one of them, and in that I find comfort. It's as if something will always remain the same while all the choas is still in the midst of life. Thank you so much for sharing this. Also seems to hold someone dear in these words. Nice to read.

Our moons effect the same tides in different waves ...

... but the ocean spray still hides the tears away.

fascinating...wonderful pix, too

I can almost hear the surf echoing the heart of you

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Dam breaks and I am
drowned in waves of me
On days like these
I let them carry
me where they will
I am wise enough
to know these waters
will calm
and that they flow
to bigger seas
But on days like these
I endulge the undertow
sinking ever deeper
into the vanity
and self pity
of days like these

lovely and supple. I love the way you write

And the angel said unto me, "These are the cries of the carrots, the cries of the carrots!"
