If Ever

If ever I had faced a night
Dark and gloomy inked in spite
Then this was such an evening’s fare
And one for which I did not care.

Lurking, waiting held in store
Behind a weakened mental door
Forced its way between the bars
Between the white and livid scars

It overwhelmed my mind and think
And drove me near unto the brink
It cast a net so close of weave
It was beyond my own believe

It dragged me down into the wave
Beyond the helping hand of save
A loathsome feeling I confess
Till all became a nothingness

It brewed a deadly dream of steep
And there I died within my sleep

Good morning Si, how are you today?

It overwhelmed my mind and think
And drove me near unto the brink
It cast a net so close of weave
It was beyond my own believe

OK, listen, I'm going to send you a life preserver, grab on and never let go....we'll all tug and pull and bring you back home....

Smiles, hugs and love to you and yours.

I've had a few nightmares myself recently, Sy...
and they're not at all enjoyable!

Rising early to tell of a night sweat...
a bad dream is thankfully only that.
Well done Sy. TD

I am soooo sorry, Mr. T.!  There were so many demands for my help all around the world, that I wasn't able to protect you in your night of need!

I will not leave your side tonight!--and I shall bring you a lovely piece of pink calcite to prevent you from having nightmares when I am not able to be with you!

Sweet dreams!

EA

P.S. This was an excellent sonnet!!!!!!--however, I must say it was somewhat disconcerting!

When ever Randy has chips and beer before bed,
Poor Sy will have dreams of fear and dread
Randy needs to drink raspberry tea instead
so Sy will have visions of butterflies in his head.

Your rhyme scheme dreams are laced with imaginations thread
they are the peanut butter on Randy's poetic bread.

"Between the white and livid scars"

(could that line be any cooler??)

This was dark and strong.Next time just even think of my name and spirit will reach in and take hold and together we'll fly on my angelic wings to the safety of the dawn.

Oooohhhh, Seymour, sounds like a scary one. I've
had some of them myself. Now, those dreams are the ones
it's always good to wake up from!! Right?  LOL
