“Extinct”

In an ocean as square as the mind
Beyond the rocks they scare of what one my find
Open one’s eyelids to such oval disputes
For humblest non-mentions this creature bares no fruit

One flap of a flipper, one slap of a man
No one dare stand to arch, to protect while they can
For no air has ever resounded in water
Cautious unwillingness leaves the moment until after

The power of the sun, the movement of the moon
A splash of water, the skin is cut just a moment to soon
Slap on the bristle, lay cost the burden of life
No voice flows in creature tones, it remains locked up inside

A powerful message here.  You may want to proofread this write again for syntax issues, but the theme, thought, and observations are spot-on.
