In pursuit of Ceiwyn

Ceiwyn is my Welsh maid,
As pretty as any ever.
Here,in the woodland glade,
Merry flowers she gathers

Black as night her eyes,
A raven's wing her hair.
Would she were my bride,
This jewel beyond compare.

I completement  her charms,
With grace she drops a curtsy.
Then avoids my loving arms,
Her heart,it knows not mercy

My  attempts at wooing,
Once more are all in vain.
My love is my undoing,
Rejected once again.

What lover heeds rejection!
I shall try again with flowers
I pursuit of such perfection
Who counts the passing hours?
