Between the Lines

Sunday Bits

It's what's untold
that my body
withholds
while the darkness consumes
and I am chasing the rain

~~*~~

I will wear black
searching for the remnants of you
feeling that
"whisperkiss" of worth
when you looked into my eyes

~~*~~

I viewed my life
in the hands of you
palms up
lifting me to a higher plane

~~*~~

From in these walls I peer,
these eyes missing
what they cannot touch,
these hands missing
what they cannot comprehend,
their willingness put on hold.

M

The ever seeking spirit of mankind!
The longing for what we feel should be ours!
The hopes, desires and needs we all have!

You've expressed this well!

A Sunday worthwhile of prayer and introspection.  These bits of sadness seem surrounded by a love that is special and unending.  Reminded me of my sister and I, probably because the fabric of the write was so soft and strong. Thanks M...TD

Great poem nakdthoughts. I love this line.

I will wear black
searching for the remnants of you
feeling that
"whisperkiss" of worth
when you looked into my eyes.

That just touches my heart. A Whisperkiss...what a lovely image that paints. Well done.
