Passion's Way

'Twas only
the whole of my feeling
that led to confusion,
that stole the moments once shared
bringing me now to mine sullen days.

And seasoning the new nights ahead
with the bitter taste of the past
dredged up, and uncovered
by the loss of the intensity
of pure happiness that thine presence
once brought.

'Tis passion's way, risks taken,
wants granted if only but
so short a time.
A lover's dream,
that came in with the breeze
through an unscreened window,
overlooking that tree, the one
that now knows death.

And whence it is brought down,
shall take the memories along,
and the tears to follow,
shall mark me their path
as Ye shall never know
what lies beneath these words
I shed...

Love will find a way even if it leads your path to somewhere else besides where you wanted to go..

Lady O,

Sometimes it is,
held in the branches
of the witness tree,
that memories rest
heavy on the limbs . . .

Dear sweet Lady

Memories that past are of such sorrows
the stems and limbs of falling tomorrows
but let us leave with good feelings in mind
where once roots grew strong, so will friends you find
From every perch the moon lays naked to thy thoughts ....
