This poem is for my friend Jimmy. I know that you are proably getting tired of me telling you that but he is the insipartion for my poems. Jimmy is a handsome boy. He knows not what he does. He does not sleep very well at night. "Why," you ask? Just because. Jimmy is an active boy. He takes off all his clothes. He'll only eat certain foods. "Why," you ask? Who knows? Jimmy is a vocal boy. But he cannot say he loves us. He'll bang his head to get his point across. "Why," you ask? That's above us. Jimmy is an intelligent boy. But at times he sits and stares. He spins himself around and 'round. "Why," you ask? Who cares? Jimmy is a troubled boy. Sometimes he feels so blue. He has to take medication. "Why," you ask? I wish I knew. Jimmy is a beautiful boy. But he can't perform a simple task. So, if our paths should cross someday And you wonder WHY, don't ask. [This message has been edited by Jordyn05 (09-13-2003 11:43 AM).] |

But don't get upset when they ask, as so many others have not had the opportunity to spend a day with an autistic. Why do I call it an opportunity? Don't ask, YOU already know.   Always keep your eyes and heart as open as they are now. namaste, peace, heart hugs |

 (big hugggsssssss) Oh Jenn, I have Asperger's Syndrome, a high-functioning form of autism, and it was incredibly difficult when I was a little boy for anyone to communicate with me, but knowing now that I have grown and now I am communicate like everyone else, I have great faith for Johnny and I pray that he too can continue to grow and live a comfortable life with you and his loved ones! (sigh) We are all here for you, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Jenn, thank you for sharing!  May love and light always shine upon you!
