I have made a cute childrens book and this is the verse that is in the book.I have laminated each page so the pages can be wiped off. The book is filled with the characters in this story. If interested just let me know.
Maybe a gift for the holidays or just because.
See Ya Love Bon-Bon

Stories From Grandpa Mouse

Come here Junior; sit on grandpa’s knee.
I’ll tell you
a few stories of my childhood.
I had a friend by the name of The Professor
and
these are some of his tales and a few of my own.
We used to live in this big old house on a hill across town.
The lady of the house would say in her frustrated tone,
“I’m tired of that ole pesky mouse.”
Into the kitchen to find a mousetrap she would go, slippers a flappin’ and hair a flyin’.
She’d knock on the door of that little ole mouse and say,
“Dinner is ready.”
The spring is set tight already to snap.
The rich aroma of fresh homemade cheese fills the air.
The Professor and his friendGullible would sit and gaze mesmerized by this delicious
sight.
The Professor, looks at the cheese turns with
a smile and says to Gullible, “You grab the cheese.”

Well, Junior.
In this old house there lived a cat.
This ole kitty cat would sit and stare.
Pounce, then sit, pounce, then sit, and then he would give your ole grandpa a slap or two.
One day, your poor ole grandpa decides to give and play dead.
Being a mean ole kitty cat,
he decides to carry me to the lady of the house.
Kitty cat spies the next door neighbor.
Knowing she does not like cats, he approaches with a sweet kitty cat smile and says,
“Please be my friend, pretty please.
I’ll give you my pet mouse as a present,”
as he drops me at her feet.
I hit the floor on the run and slide into the nearest hole.
The lady screams in fright.
The catsays,
“Oh!
Shucks!
Darn ole mouse got away again. Maybe I should try fish.”

Well! Junior. It’s time for bed.
I’ll tell you more stories tomorrow.
Now jump into bed.
Lights out.
Good night Junior, don’t let the kitty cat bite.

cute write Bonnie....know the book is great...my dad wrote down everything he'd ever come up with, made three copies, one for each of us boys...and I treasure it..this reminds me of one he'd tell us as a kid.....it went like this, as we sat on his lap and tried not to laugh or smile...as you will see...We asked the questions...he answered...

What do you have in that little round hole?
dad: bread and cheese
Where's mine?
dad: the dog got it
Where's the dog?
dad: In the woods
Where's the woods?
dad; Fire burned it
Where's the fire?
dad: water quenched it.
Where's the water?
dad: Ox drank it.
where's the ox?
dad: butcher killed him
Where's the butcher?
dad: rope hanged him
Where's the rope?
dad: rat knawed it
Where's the rat?
dad: Cat got him
Where's the cat?
dad: "underneath the old church steps, anyone who laughs or smiles gets pinched and tickled....."

Of course, even though we knew the whole story, we'd always laugh or smile...and of course..get pinched and tickled....
