America found the true meaning
in a moment of silence
on this day
when innocence was torn away
and the sense of patriotism
returned worn like a badge on our chest

We showed the world our best
even before the first heroes
were laid to rest
shock and fear resounded out loud
only to be beaten back
by the helping and caring crowds
from all the states
of our proud nation
did they come
willing and loving as one

With LOVE to all our fallen heroes and the families that remain behind.
