In Your Poetic Mind

0 posted 2003-09-11 11:40 AM

{And if you look at  stars long enough
      you might find yourself somewhere}

How light cradles    hollow,
  empty embraces:

here     your heart echo's

I imagine you    the world  was frozen:
somewhere   forgotten in dreams,
we learned space without
names   --  between each season

The moon   arose   I didnt notice  {I was}
trying to hold    something, anything
in my hands

{fragrance of morning,
motion of breathing,
the shape of old waves}

if wind had knowledge of edges,
my dreams would  walk in silent tips

Here at the center
        the deepest part
I claimed forever
in answer to the sea

and   the rain   soaked    earth --
who remembers how to listen
over dark arches and cold stone?

The shore was l o n   g
I paused enough     to drink air

I could not see

there, a place     inside of you,
amber of memory

so unheard words might cross
these lips

The way you move me
I walk with your shadow
With your silhouette
Leave the light on
It always comes
Back to you

So many ways in which
to read your poetry...
you carve them so delicately...

Thank you, Lauren.  It's been awhile.

(smiles) Yay! (does happy dance) Oh Lauren, I'm so happy you're back, sweet friend, I have missed your gorgeous and picturesque poetry sooooooo much! (kiss on cheek) I imagined the lovely river as a mirror and you can see all your prized memories in amber, like they are preserved in pure honey, yay, this is a classic, I'm adding this to my angel library, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lauren, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Lauren,
I'm with Sy and it has been a while. But then I can never get enough of your writing.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

next to the words ethereal, exquisite, exceptional, grace, serene, seductive, sanctuary and poetess in the dictionary....they need only place your picture for your writing defines them all.

Memories, held fast in amber...Wow!

and this!

"{fragrance of morning,

Captured thus.

Almost every time I read your poetry, it reminds me of the style of lyrics of my favorite band. Simply put, beautifully written.
