Moved from a shack to a barn

0 posted 2003-09-11 03:06 AM

What barrier, this
This fragile mesh screening
That denies egress to all
But the tiniest of creatures
A shield
From the flying annoyances
Offering only small protection
From the wind and the rain?

What barrier, this
This cloth of fine wires
That allows the free passage
Of the sights and sounds
And even aromas
From one realm to another
Barring only
The two senses remaining?

And what barrier, this
This weave of metallic thread
That covers your window
Standing helplessly brave
Before the sweep of our yearning
The irresistible push
That allows, finally
The touch and the taste

"In looking Northward, I see a light"

Oh my, Ed...you've outdone yourself on
this one.  I absolutely love it.

What barrier, indeed...*smile*

Before the sweep of our yearning
The irresistible push

The touch and the taste

That's really nice, sometimes you just
have to brave the elements and take a chance.

Bravo wranx~

What barrier, this
This squaring of the air
That boxes in the world
And turns all views
Into impressionistic
Bits of color
Pixels of a sort
In metal wire?
