x-This Tainted Ground-x

From innocent blue skies
came sinister plots unknown
Two buildings stood so high
You would think
they would touch the sky.
Teeming with workers
Doing their duty,
making a living
Their thoughts were
All I work for,
to my family I'll be giving.
Busy about the things
that maintained their lives.
Their daughters, their sons,
or their husbands, or wives.
This day similiar to all days before
Not knowing what was to come
Not knowing what was in store.
Sinister things were conspired.
Harm to Americans was desired.
What came next, what transpired,
Was born of Hell's muck, and mire.
The tragedy of fallen lives
The count was earthen angels galore
Rebuild, restore, open freedoms door!
A resolve a constant vigil of prayer
Workers around the clock.
Neighbors, and ones not so close
felt this tragedy, so morose
All united, and rallied around
saying we will clean
This tainted
ground.

I thank God for all the people that came to pray, and work to help heal us all from this tragedy. God Bless!!

It seems that when a tragedy of this magnitude hits us, we are blessed with those who rally around, giving us the courage to go on and do what needs to be done.  Yes, agreed..God bless them all..~S~

lovely tribute to those who lost their lives... and to those who didn't.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Thank you to all of you... to all!

Kaoru--I know just what you mean. In part I wish I could have written a better one. One more uplifting.

Sunnyone--You are so right. The earthbound angels that have hearts of gold.

QJQ--Thanks Q...you are kind sir!

Kethry--Thank you. They are a VERY worthy lot.. that is for sure. I appreciate your comment.

God Bless us all,
