I hear the melody in my head That has awakened the spirit I thought was dead It starts out slow and beautiful No words, just sweet melody The notes seem to flow from within Reviving my spirit once again I hear lots of melodies floating around As they lift me from the ground Piano, trumpets,and lots more Make the sound that I adore It's like an angelic sound That just seems to abound It soothes me to my soul And I lose complete control My body just lets go of all the tension As I make this sweet redemption For once again my melody Has come through for me Giving me a new inner self to see And be glorious as I can be Crystal |

Wonderful verse. You have captured eloquently what it is music gives to you. I really enjoyed this poem angelblueyes. The title is well choosen. It perked up my interest enough to open it for a read...now I am very glad I did. Keep up the fine work. |

Your poem has a real punch to it. I like it. The thing a like about it is that everyone has a melody (favourite tune.......mines a QUEEN song called in the lap of the gods....revisited) which inspires the soul. Great stuff. |
