Wind comes without warning,
cold is free for asking,
winter's night never lies to its boarders;
children live believing
they're the first to see a truth,
their passions flower briefly and are gone.

We move in waves, from shore to shore
from thought to thought from life to life,
the patterns all get lost in winding trails,
life lines drawn from sad conclusions
memories left quietly among the broken dreams
bad choices - theories that fail.

There is no mystery in life,
just opportunities to pass
beyond the need for majesty and pride;
there's life and death,
agreements and arrangements
just reflections,
always moving
changing choices
choosing changes.

I always enjoy the wisdom of your words,
and this is no exception.  Wonderfully done.

Icebox:  I know these things, but you "force" me to think about them, and it makes my head swim.  Thank you, I think..

Absolutely, Icebox, though I must sometimes wonder if we, ourselves, do all that and whether we'll ever actually get anywhere ... eventually, that is. Thank you for your poems - I never miss one of them!
