The Split Rail Fence

If I had known that space and cedar
could hold as well as stone
or better
the things I might entrust to pasture,
I would have saved myself some ache,
and taken off the afternoon
to write a friend
or watch a brook.
It's been some time since I last sat
to just enjoy the look of water.
I should do that.
As for the other ........

Chuckle? Chuckle??? (laughing) How ya been, pardner? Well, I trust. I hope that you and that canoe have been keeping company. Thanks for taking a moment to revisit this "oldie". Bob P.S. Haven't heard anything of Rainy have you? I should drop him another note, though when last I tried there was no reply. Health concerns I think.

Sounds like you need a bow paddler. Put down your pen, go to church (laughing...it's been ages since we've rocked on that subject), and you might just find a guide. Smiling. Nice visiting with you. As to Rainy...yes. I miss him. He had such a way of letting us run...then bringing us up short. I owe him.

...to write a friend...

I need to start writing!
Thanks for the reminder
to take my days
a little slower...

Yes you should... and so should I.. actually.

Enjoyed very much
