I crawl inside the warmth of your words
I take them within my skin
I make them a part of who I am

Like an attentive lover
You whisper of my needs
You tell the story of my deeds

You touch my face with spew of tongue
And instinctively know
Love not given the chance to grow

You follow my body to bed
Voice of caress as I close my eyes
I feel the notes of your soul, nothing belies

Softly sing the words of sooth
Put my aching heart to sleep
With song of silent weep

A stirring "song of silent weep". A lovely piece of poetic expression. Beautifully written, Dear Susan.

Q~Thank you you wonderful man you!

Kiwi~OMG! It doesn't come out here until the 29th!  But I have downloaded "White Flag" ....I am in love with Dido.

Linda~thank you so much, you have to hear the song...

"But I will go down with this ship
I won't put my hands up in surrender
There will be no white flag above my door
I am in love and always will be"

~Dido, chorus to "White Flag"

All things are not easy to shake off!!!
Haunting this was~

I also wanted to say I enjoyed your "Chapters" series, I read them all,  just not in the order they were presented.

You write really nice Susan~
