Throw bones and pebbles on the ground
grass, weeds, sticks, leaves and herbs,
and mingle with my energy the plan of destiny
or force between my lips a ghoulish witches brew
filled with magic spells of what the future holds.

Oh, yes, upon a mountain top I see a regal queen,
her hand uplifted, waving, to the passing years
and on her head a crown of diamonds, rubies, dreams,
flashes red, gold, wishes, hopes into the atmosphere
like a beacon to the weary, lost, lonely, and forlorn.

Come hither!  Place your fingertips gently, tenderly,
upon the base of truth hidden in the core of soul
and climb each rock painstakingly into eternal peace;
the reward of every climber, every father, mother, child,
born of flesh and married to eternal energy.

Oh, throw “them” bones; ‘tis mockery to seek externally
the hand-holds and crevices for an upward climb
and yet, and yet, I must believe no single entity
can reach the peak of ecstasy unaided by a rope.

The rope of love twists and snarls inward upon itself
if not anchored and affixed to the stake of trust!

Always thought provoking!

You are right, my friend, love without trust has fangs.

Hello, Martie!  I've been trying not to think too much lately but ... no rest for the weary.  Take care.

Well....there have been times I'd have settled for any old rope.....

....but the rope of love, yes, that's the real one.

Thank you, "Bluesy".  Just when I think I've covered everything in my rambles, I discover that I'm still learning.  It's good to read you too as I always do.

Hi, Ratleader.  So many times through so many circumstances we settle for less than the real thing.  I often wonder why.  Thanks for the read.
