standing on a shadow's lace

Cover

at times
I wrap myself
in the wind
soft blended air
of whispered secrets
forgetting it is not
satin sheets
melted to
the contours
of my skin
fitted tugged
and pulled
tightly around
covering me
top to bottom
in butterfly breath
where I can
finally rest
unmade twisted
and tangled
letting go
to where
it unwinds me

Tactile imagery ... I always forget that -- like a guy, hung up on the visual. Taking a poetry lesson now, and such an easy one to absorb.....

I've always been a fan of satin sheets.....mainly because I've never owned a set of them....
