Seven Veils

He sails a path of fantasy
His moon, his stars, his ecstasy
But in the woods grow mushroom stools
Where still remain realities rules?

He set his course a spirits voyage
But in the hole his lifetime stowage
His daily search is shoals of white
Where dance the phantoms of his night.

Many a whale had passed his beam
With wakes that really rocked his dream
But water stays beneath his bow
And still he sails his holy cow.

He seeks a land of non exist
An Eden’s garden he can’t resist
It is to him his only goal
The doorway to his very soul

And so this ancient mariner sails
Through humanities seven veils.

Lotus,
You could say that. It's just fancy words for a simple dream. Thank you.

Sunshine,
Good morning dear, I don't think I'll ever stop dreaming.

Nancy,
Sunday tea sounds good to me.

Good morning, Dear Travelin' Tumbleweed!

"But in the woods grow mushroom stools
Where still remain realities rules?"

~ Aye, there's the rub!

"Many a whale had passed his beam
With wakes that really rocked his dream
But water stays beneath his bow
And still he sails his holy cow."

~ Take a bow for these creative thoughts that end with a witty play on words.

"He seeks a land of non exist
An Eden’s garden he can’t resist"

~ To seek as ye do, ye shall surely find your Eden.

"And so this ancient mariner sails
Through humanities seven veils."

~ Indeed you do! And thank you for taking this reader along on the voyage!

YOU are poetry's holy cow and your rhymes are the cat's meow.

that verse is cooler than the dictionary has definition for...
and so is the poet.

So will I will just have to say,

Wonderful Seymour. Much needed dreamy write to-day as I am in alot of pain with this darned tendonitis in my left arm. This too shall pass - the sooner the better. Sorry I am late with our snacks, but I am sure Enchantress will put on the kettle again and we can have some scrumptious butter tarts. Hugs, Chris
