for the tail
of a mermaid..
So I can
swim the
yonder seas.

Far away,
from the
dry land..

crying children,
and the

kiss
with no lips,
speak

I see no arms
that hold me,
I still
feel their warmth
in my bed..
How cruel it to be
that I may not
watch you sleep?

That I wept
with
fear,
I couldn't see
you there..

I'll glide
past
ghostly ships,
smile as
bubbles rise
by my lip..

As some say silence
is
a free fall
down a row of
purgatory,
it shifts
in the dawn.

So shall my tail
slither
over water and
underneath..
so I shall
be
buried in
what I
remembered you as..
