If life was only
for the living...
you would not be here today.

The sands of time sweep slowly
over my drifting thoughts
as I kneel before the flower fields
in autumn’s golden hues.

You should have seen me
running through the amber grasses.
Surely I was a silly sight to see
hopping around gleefully
as if I had never before romped
through these fields in a fall breeze.

Your brushstrokes would have captured the moment
in truest living color, boldly, without apology.
For you would have seen what others could not,
the essence of me, in living color.

Naked, save for my cloak of humanity.

Good to read, I'd still like to think there is a readon for all this and a greater vision of which we are only a minor slice

Gem, thank you for reading and commenting.
Martin, me too, and I hope someone/something has an honorable intent.

I know, in my heart that whoever did see?
captured it in their memory forever
