Delayed Reaction

It was so many years ago today
I heard a nearby detonation
It began with a hint of absence
fueled and loaded by a cremation
Though I'm no longer a child
I can remember the sensation
No immediate comprehension
It was initiatied by degredation

The young can bear their wounds
without a hint of fleeing taint
That autumn night that had a fall
Made the north star faint
No matter how hard I focus
It's hard to put the scene in paint
Though to the world he was a man
To this child he was a saint

sometimes saints are hidden from our eyes until they become a charished momery.
Wonderful emotion in this.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown
