~*~

Lowering the sails, reluctantly
circling around a safe harbor
remembering you in a slip of time .

As the darkness drapes the sun with subtle undertones
rocking on the horizon in a quiet lull
stringing stars across an island in my mind.

Where the tide gathers and pulls
leaves me shivering in the shimmer
tearful and glassy eyed.

Silhouetted behind the moonlight
hidden from the glowing
cooled by the trade winds that carry in the breeze.

So like the songs we used to play
are always there to remind me
running together in watercolors.

Painted like a picture postcard I meant to send
I wish I could go back and take you there
casting away for a month of sun days.

But it seems I've lost all sense of direction
and the water is too rough to weather the mysteries
when the sea is storming inside of me.

Can we ever go back,I don't know, I don't know
but I'm holding onto to my hope, without a doubt
I would chase the wind for to be with you.

~If I haven't lost you already~

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, this made me cry because love hopes all things and love wishes all things and I hold this notion to my heart as I have never felt true love yet and I believe for you and all the wonderful deserving souls out there, good things will come to all those who wait patiently! (sigh) This is very heartfelt, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Lori, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Lori, you had me aching with the first lines

and throughout.

why does missing someone have to hurt this much? when you know you can't or don't want to let go of them. Into my library.

Much love n hugs. xxx

Instant karma's gonna get you.

I actually read this late last night before going to bed...but was too tired to type a reply that would do it justice..but taking these lovely images to bed with me made for a lullaby of waves.
When the ocean is your muse...your writing is at its finest. Love this bittersweet beauty wrapped in blue.
superb write Lorie-girl

When was the last time you felt this high,
you are the best I've ever felt.
Its so wrong not to be with you
Its getting harder to stay away.

Oh Lori, I love the way you wrote this. One of
the many lines I love is....

leaves me shivering in the shimmers

There are many more. I'll be back to this many times,
sweet lady. I just love it.

I love how your poetic mind--and soul--expresses itself! Your poetry always touches me in some way. The ink flows directly from your heart.

Good grief Bluesy!  You finished it!  This is probably one of my favorites of yours, and to think you said, I don't care for it, just something I am scribbling tonight!"  Proves the old theory that just because you don't like it, perhaps we will I loved this completed and kept it, it is sure a "keeper."
