I've never read the books he told me to
for I read, to forget him, where I lay
The unfinished pages, that are yet to meet my eye
will remain closed untouched beauty

I watch their still spines lean upon eachother
the way we did, when our words matched
Every one marks a moment, first christmas
last 'just because', each he scrawled upon opening page

you have my heart

Perhaps I re write him softer than he was
in reality, he is now the blemish tear
upon favourite page, now I cannot read
nor see him, but gifts of print remain, as he leaves me

blank

Instant karma's gonna get you.

"Perhaps I re write him softer than he was

~ hold that thought, Precious Gem!

"he is now the blemish tear

~ You are not blank! It is just the bad memories leaving and freeing up your mind, heart, and spirit for something--or someone!--new and better for you!

I know you are hurting, Dear One, but truly--"and this too shall pass"...

"you have my heart"

My quote is: "I truly love you"

Yikes...how hard is that to forget?

*sigh*

I understand.

oh damn girl...that analogy is achingly awesome!!
love this whole inspire and employ of metaphor, personifi and analogy...
you tied it all together so poetically perfect with the book/reading/written word theme and the bittersweet emotions express....very cool write gemma-girlie

When was the last time you felt this high,
you are the best I've ever felt.
Its so wrong not to be with you
Its getting harder to stay away.

Why do you write my heart?

This is brilliant, and I understand it all too well..

That was simply beautiful and touching.  Bitter-sweet and so human.  Thank you for making (and sharing) something so warm and touching as this piece.

(big hugggsssssss) Life is one big book club, dearest friend, you should let your heart choose what wants to be read and never should it throw required or expected guidelines or assignments! (sigh) I send many angel hugs your way, sweet friend, know we are all here to help your heart heal, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Gemma, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

To each one of your gorgeous replies.

It makes me sad when I re read this, because i'm missing out on some good books, but I just can't bring myself to read them/finish them.

pah, i'm an idiot.
