Night Whispers in Wait

I opened up that part of me
that no one's seen in years.
It was Pandora's box you see
night whispers bringing tears.

Of yesterdays, translucent state
perceptions eased by time.
We reasoned out the cause of such,
my thoughts always in rhyme.

I'll pretend you see, that all is well
and lend her mine, this smile.
I know though, that the news will hurt,
she said she'd need a while.

I've got a front row seat in watch,
vibrations pound their send.
The raven's darkened message looms
despite the shield's extend.

No miracles of rarity
nor mystics to displace
this summer as it takes its toll
on hers, my sister's face.

I see reflections, sometimes hers
when mirrored in my blue
and whisper childhood lullabyes
while tears stream, overdue.

Camouflaged, when face to face
my arms reach out in care.
Burdened, we have both become
when I am with her, there.

M

M~

May everything go well and your sister be healthy and strong very soon...

I don't know if I could handle something like this if it were my sister...your strength is something to be envied.

A short prayer for you both:

Dear Lord plead guide these ladies from above
And revel in their wondrous love
Of love and laughter over the years
Of sadness and sorrows and even fears
For even now they stand side by side
Waiting for heaven's cleansing tide
Grant them peace so that they may feel
The life and exisistence that is so real
Bring these sisters back together on this earth
And show us that there is the miracle of rebirth
I pray with all my spirit and heart
That these two shall never part
For it's rare to see such beauty like their's
And in this world they've alot to share
Amen.

I wish to thank all who have responded for their kind words...

When no news is "bad news"  came today in a phone call from my Mother, letting me know that there is nothing more that can be done for my sister.

I will be trying to spend as much time now as I can with her (as much of me as she will or can tolerate ...so if I do not respond much and should vent a bit poetically, instead... know it is not because I am not reading...but that I am an overly emotional person and at times am not able to respond properly.

hugs to you all...
Maureen

May an angel be on your shoulder giving you the strength you need to share this time with her Maureen.  Each of us deals with this in our own way, I shall email you, but your words of love here will be the light that shines your way. God bless you all and help you through this.
