Emotions Denied
~ By Sue ~

It has never been too easy
To give my heart away
The door would not open
Until that special day
When you and I did meet
Fear kept it closed for awhile
Remembering the past
You won me with that smile
As you held me so close
With a genlte kiss on my lips
You carressed me so tenderly
With your hands placed on my hips
I felt the flutter in my heart
With each day we spent together
The feelings that I felt inside
Could not have been any stronger
Then after nine long years
I had to say good-bye
Even now, sometimes I miss you
But this, I would deny
It had become so clear to me
There was no way we could stay together
I had come to the conclusion
For me to leave would be better
Still, deep down inside me
I feel the loneliness inside
When I remember the good times
And sometimes I still cry

This is so nice. It's nice that it came to an amicable end, and was done with decency!! Very human, and humane ending here. I loved the way this was so peaceably done. Amazing.
God Bless.

It's amazing how I can lay awake at night thinking that no one can possibly understand the life pains I feel.  Reading your poem will help me know that I'm not alone out there in that huge world.  Thank you for sharing your heart with us.

Ahhh Sue, but there was no other choice to make and though you feel lonely sometimes, staying would have been worse, don't you think?

Hope you are doing ok sweet friend.

And you likely always will, SmartChick - You know in your heart that you've made the right choices, though - Keep smiling...

Sue, you will always have a tenderness in your heart
for the good memories of what you shared with him.
Hold on to those good memories, my friend, and
cherish them. They are precious. It's the bad ones
that you need to try to release. I know it's hard,
because I still have a difficult time throwing
away those bad memories.
Hugs to you, my friend

Sweet Sue, you are still in the healing process, but you ARE healing. It took a great deal of courage to be true to yourself. As you let go of the past, your future will open into wonderful new vistas!

Loving, healing hugs,
Linda

Remember to always cherish what your heart feels, and that your feet point forward, to keep the past at your heels.

Hi Sue, I'm so happy to see you. I've missed you.

It's okay to cry. Crying is healing and the pain of separation doesn't go away over night.

Continue to give yourself permission to grieve and get over him and I hope you will write your feelings in your wonderful poetry.

Luvs and hugs, Marti
