We met along the way
To fulfilling the journeys
Our lives were destined to take
I with my dreams and hopes
Your dreams fading with each sunset
Wings of gold, strong and free
Clipped at the moment of fate
When Loki weilded his knife
And grounded you for life
Though banned from flight
You struggled on
Never allowing yourself to lose
Until that day when the battle lost
You soared once again to the skies
Now you have taken your place
Wings fully healed
Amongst the Great Kings in the sky
Where you will soar free
Until the end of flight

This was written for a veery close friend of mine whose favorite uncle (a quadraplegic) has finally been allowed to soar to heaven.
Please keep Jimmy's family in your prayers.
