Some Days

Some days I walk a weary mile
Some days I walk and think and smile
Some days I shelter from the rain
Some days I walk and think on sane.

I see the world as I would see
Yet know there is another key
I see the world as paradox
And daily tamper with the locks

Some days I whistle with the birds
As I tend my flock and herds
By that I mean my stock in store
The mind and phantoms of my core

These are the two I knit to lace
To make a shawl to warm my place
To stabilize the ship I sail
And keep my eye upon the whale.

And lo one day I’ll see the door
And open it to evermore.

==================================
could that couplet be any cooler?
me thinks you already have the key.

I dont know the where abouts of the door ...
and they say "some days" less will be more
But there's one thing I can say "I know it" ...
and that is every day you are a POET!!

When was the last time you felt this high,
you are the best I've ever felt.
Its so wrong not to be with you
Its getting harder to stay away.

Sy,

Now you know your walks are much like mine
for on our wanderings we fail to pine ~
we love to see the sun in rise and set
remembering the good, the rest we forget.

But Nan is right, my friend and poet
you've much to write, and we all "know it"
so tell the mists that pull on your sleeve,
you've much to do, and it's not time to leave.

Oh but you have so much more to write yet Sy!
More pearls of wisdom to share with us...
So you shall be here for all the rest of my 'Some Days'!
For you have a way of starting all my 'some days' with a smile.
Tea's on...let's let it steep a bit, okay.

Good Morning Sy -- Gosh, I'm so happy to get here in the morning and have tea and crumpets with you and your ladies. It's been a while!!!

What a wonderful poem, as all yours are, and I especially loved the first stanza as I can certainly relate!

And lo one day I’ll see the door
And open it to evermore.

And may you not see that door for a long time to come. There is much left for you to accomplish and many more poems to write.

Huggles ... Marti

Well, I hope you don't find that door for a long time... we need you too much. *S* On the other hand... we're following your every step so evermore's in for an invasion. *S*

I really like this Seymour... some days and every day... you're a treasure. *S*

Morning Sweet Seymour
You do keep yur place warm, too, with all your
sweet words. You'd better not be going through that
door any time soon, my friend. You know you have
a lot more to say first.
Hugs to you, my friend
