A tear needs a hug

A tear needs a hug
.
As the tears fall down her face
take her in your arms
Gently pull her close
into your warm embrace
.
A tear needs a hug
like the stars need the sky
like the rain needs the clouds
like a dove needs to fly
.
Hold her til the tears subside
tell her every thing will be alright
and gently wipe the tears from her eyes
Help her to see the skies will again be blue
.
A tear needs a hug
like a bike needs a chain
like an ant needs a hill
like the rainbows need the rain
.
Whisper sweet words in her ear
those always seem to help her smile
hold her close to your heart
let her stay in your embrace for awhile
.
A tear needs a hug
like the ocean needs a shore
and like a bear needs a cave
and like a smile needs a face
