exit softly,

on tips of toes
as you began,

an inkling,
a premontion,

wisps of pastels
cross horizons end,

slip away gracefully,

do not shout
amid  harshness
of premature wintry winds,

kiss me tenderly,

breath of babies,
warmth of lips,

like the first one
all over again,

and when we part,

whisper to me
of your return,

on spring's equinox,
an affair to renew,

but for now,
dear friend

farewell,
to you.

Sweet. I've never thought of it that way, but then, I've never been a woman. This a gentle and sensitive portrayal, even for a goddess.

Michele, you paint such beautiful pictures of the
seasons with your words. I'm keeping this picture.
This was simply beautiful...and this ending is awesome!!

and when we part,

whisper to me
of your return,

on spring's equinox,
an affair to renew,

but for now,
dear friend

farewell,
to you.

Hugs to you, lady

Michele . . .
this is achingly beautiful
bittersweet

and when we part,

whisper to me
of your return,

on spring's equinox,
an affair to renew,
