Oh, the mist that rises
reminds me then
of then
and you

Your hands
touched as softly as
your eyes
a grazing caress
on my longing
sighs

I'd ask it be gone
but I know it a vain
and empty wish
for in this morning
and at this time
it is you
I miss

By noon it will fade
as will this empty blue
what a fool you were

If only you knew....

First day back from vacation on the water...
I'm still drifting...and this piece continues
to make me want to hold onto
the sad longing I have inside.
So beautifully written Ron...much enjoyed.

Oh, how I can relate to this one

Love’s Mist

I dream of you
on the deck of a ship
soft haze enveloping you
as night sets in

I am jealous of the mist
I long to wrap myself around you
like a comfortable robe
swaddling you in my body

Let me sing to you
the oceans lullaby
hear my voice in its rhythm
see my face in the waves
feel my kisses in the spray
and crash upon my shores

Today, you sail the sea
~tomorrow, sail to me

Ron

Your poem is like mist, a gauze of soft and sensual.
