Never close enough

One of the best lessons in my life,
was learned only a few seconds
after birth.

...Breathing was the key...

I had to take that first breath,
no matter how much it hurt.

...Now, all these years later,
I notice how easy it is for me
to forget that action.

Aimlessly, I jump...
without ever knowing, where I
will land.

I am like a wild-wind,
twisting, turning, moving
everything in my way

...in order to get somewhere...

I do this all, holding my breath.

                           ...or maybe

Maybe, I can't breath because
the winds are blowing straight at me...

Maybe I wanted to breath, but
this self created twister took my
breath from my lungs.

                            ...that's it!

I was breathing, until
something knocked the
air from my soul...

...Now that I know this,
I feel better.

I know that I can breath,
if I turn my head away from the
winds that blow in my face.

...Yes!  I remember now,
I always was ...a strong life breather...

...I just created a wind storm,
and then stepped into its path for a
minute too long.

BRAVO!!!
I'll be keeping this one.
What a great reminder to all of us,
and for Sue, it's the ultimate poetic advice, of life and love.
Tima, thanks!

Aimlessly, I jump...

Ok, inhale, exhale.
Wonderfully human this is,
and very nicely expressed.

Much enjoyed Tima~

Tima, this is astounding, I cannot even begin to express how very much I needed this today.  You are my sister, truly and I am grateful that you have stepped into my life. When I said, "write those words", I didn't realize they would be to me.
THIS is . . . yes . . . exactly
you do know me well, m'friend and what a gift for me to find on this day.

Aimlessly, I jump...
without ever knowing, where I
will land.

I am like a wild-wind,
twisting, turning, moving
everything in my way

...in order to get somewhere...

I do this all, holding my breath.

So, I can start breathing now?
*smile*
tears . . . thank you . . .
From my heart Tima, this meant the world to me and your writing is exquisite.
Much Love,
Sue

Tima, what a truthful poem this is...for all of us.
I'm keeping it, too, my friend.

Yes, sometimes when you are sprinting it is easy to forget to breathe... And if you do, you'll never last very long...

there are times when I stop and notice my breathing....and when I do, I seem to have to force it...strange isn't it..what comes naturally when unnoticed?
