To Ride a Star

If I could ride the stars
Like I ride this imagination
In this path laid out
By an infinite soul
Leading one to believe
This was meant to be
This thrill, this excitement
This struggle, this challenge
Like the colors of the rainbow
Without one there is no other
Without my soul
There is no path
With no path
There is no purpose
And to ride the stars would mean
My final destination
Lived over and over.

Our imaginations take us for wonderful rides, don't they?  I feel so sorry for people who don't have the coloring of such a miracle as one's imagination...I enjoyed your poem.  Thank you!
