The Visitor Sleep came timidly... softly tapping on pained windows of the mind Succumbing to exhaustion I invited him in Behind closed eyes I waited... wanting him to take me I felt him... his weight pressing me deeply into feathered comfort I inhaled him... slowly with each deepening breath I listened... and heard his taunting... lullaby Sleep paid a visit... Vicky...Been there a few times myself. Like you're asleep but aware of everything around you. It teases you into thinking that if you close your eyes a little harder you will drift off into a wonderful dream. Enjoyed the read.
