And Mars like the blue note of saxophone plays
and rolls upon rows of periwinkle hills,
across water, in bands of slate lavender hues,
and Aubrey's tooth-gritting laugh.

Thanks Sue, are we both back now?! haha!  I'm well, and hope you are, too.  It's good to see you on here. Thanks for the positive "note".  ~K~

Kahill...having played the saxophone for
several years, I very much enjoyed this.

then you can visualize, Vl, the influence of the light of Mars a few weeks ago, on a city in the midst of rolling hills and mountains, on its streets when they get dark, and their life, including the street players, a glaring contrast to nature's surroundings. I embraced the view.  Thanks for your comments.  ~K~

This was absolutely beautiful. We were looking at Mars the other night and it was amazing. The way it reflected it's brightness, the way the planet itself lloked, and the way it shined with the moonlight.

I know, wasn't it an awesome scene?  I felt that it touched everyone and everything, especially those aware.  Really glad you were thinking about it, too!  Thanks!  ~K~

There's a bit of everthing packed into this delightful poem for the senses!

I'm into Mars, flowers, hills, water, laughter--and sax!
