"Cornflakes" was one of my foster-babies that I take in until I can find them a new home; he had such an out front personality it impressed me to wite a poem about him.

Cornflakes The Cat

Sitting in the Window,
Watching the World go by.
Small furry cat, intrigued
with a falling leaf.

Chasing your tail,
What a life you lead.
Deep mysteries in your head,
While acting a fool.

To understand you I cannot,
Enjoy you I will.
Curled on my lap,
or trying to help me type.

Loving little friend,
Onery small Imp.
Purring in my ear,
nuzzling the Dog.

Attacking my toes,
Begging for a can of tuna.
You keep my life interesting
with your ways.

They are so cute aren't they! I wrote one about my cat.. daisy mae....she's funny, and has a cute way about her. She's sweet, and loving, and I don't envy you having to give kitty away...:'(

If I could get into the head of a cat for just a day . . .
Enjoyed, as I too enjoy cats.

I foster orphans and unwanted all the time; I currently have a young Rhodesian Ridgeback/mix pup that got herself hurt on the street, she cut her left foreleg and broke the rightfoot above the first joint; she is recuperating well right now, beginning to use her broken foot again, she is a sturdy little girl and will make someone a wonderful pet when adopted. I have 4 permanent residents; 2 dogs; "Mr Frisky," a 3 1/2yr. old Rat-Terrier who was born in the home. A 2-3 yr old Chihuahua male named "PeeWee McShorty;" he was an abused dog who has taken to my wife and beginning to respond to me, his abuser was apparently a male, he sometimes acts like I breathe fire and eat small dogs. The other 2 residents are; "E-Z" a Maine Coon kitten who is a mischevious little Imp, and "Cuddles" a handsome Persian mix who is easy-going and very loveable, he does not demand attention like "E-Z" does, he expects to be picked up and sat down on the table where his dinner is served though; "Spoiled Brat." I have been around animals all my life, I have raised cattle, pig, and chickens. The chickens have been among the most enjoyable, they ahve such unique human-like personalities; I have told people that if you raise chickens long enough, you will eventually see every human you have ever met. Animals are such good therapy when you don't look at them like a duty or job.
