"Word Processor" (Modern Proverb & Wisdom)

We all have our own "Word Processor;"
True many don't use it much;
They prefer to live in Ignorance,
as opposed to embracing
The "Light of Knowledge."

Our Mind is our "Word Processor,"
It is the computer we were born with,
To think, to input, to output the wisdom
we learn. It takes in what we enter into it;
be it good, bad, wise, or trashy.

What do you put into your "Word Processor?"
Do you add knowledge or do you destroy
it with drugs and alcohol? Abuse can corrupt
the data on your "Hard-drive" and it cannot
be re-installed, once it has been deleted.

How wonderful so; if we could re-install the
lost thoughts when we forget when we seek to
do things we think cool at the time; but
in reality are self destructive; so many bright,
smart people "burnt-out" & sittng in corners .

Protect the data on your "Organic Hard-drive;"
the memories are precious and irrecoverable.
Use your "Word Processor" and seek wisdom instead
of false & fleeting pleasure of chemical enhancements.

If you are here, it is because God has given you a precious gift of Words; Do not destroy that Gift!!!!!!

Not "Traditional Poetry" I realize; but then I am not a "Traditional Poet" I write what comes to my mind when I sit down. Many times it is Verse, sometimes Wisdom & Proverbs, sometimes Drivel; we never know until it comes out.

When written; pretty rhymes did not come forth, but as writers we are "Artist's" ruled by our inner feelings and what we put onto our "canvas," which is paper or parchment. Ours is a noble art, treasured by Kings and Commoners both.

I'm generally not a fan of the "mechanical man" idea, as machine/human comparisons suggest, but this is interesting none-the-less.

Thank you for these words----

If you are here, it is because God has given you a precious gift of Words; Do not destroy that Gift!!!!!!

Something I've been needing to hear for a long time. I have said it, but I needed to see the words. I understand what you mean by not letting other substances hurt you. I've been around alcohol abuse, and drug abuse, so I know what it can do to people. Thanks much for sharing this. This was GREAT!!

I have run the Gauntlet of abuse, physical and substance wise, with the exception of intraveneous drugs, crack, and newer designer drugs. I know fully the damage they have done to me, and seen the worst cases you could imagine, including death due to drugs and alcohol. It is not pretty, today I speak to those who are at risk, to stop the abuse and get clean.
