The Gift

I had a gift bestowed on me
That came so UN expectantly
It had grown into fantasy

It followed me in shadows keep
Unaware and half asleep
I’d lost expectance of it’s reap

For sand had worn its very prime
Sanded down its edge in time
And I was almost deaf the chime

But I am happy with the gift
It took me to the stars in lift
And now I’ve let the phantom drift

For I am grateful for the send
Before I go around the bend
It dignifies my very end

Alas poor spirit in its spell
This lacking of my earthly dwell
I knew it well. I knew it well.

Kaoru
It is a common thing, thank you.

JM,
Randy said you might be the gift. Perhaps, perhaps but then I've had many gifts.

Good morning Sy.  I've been
hugging babies...so I'm late
in getting in here and wishing
you a warm, winsome Wednesday...

Good afternoon, T-Man!

Well, being the New Ager that I am, I thought this poem was going to be about prophecy! lol --but I was not disappointed.

Might I say, that considering your regal pose, it is only fitting that your end would be dignified as well!

I do enjoy your poetic fare--even when I don't completely understand them! lol

Love ya!
