Writer's Block; the Bain of all writers, if you haven'e experienced it; stick around; you will at one point in your life as a writer. When my turn came, it blew my mind; Imagine; Me; without words!!!! First time in my life, (Just ask anyone who knows me.) I was frustrated and sat down trying to figure out what caused the inability to express myself with Rhyme. What to do to cure it? My solution; attempt to write a poem; good or bad. The result is this little poem below.
**** ****************************************************
        “Writer’s Block”

In the evening when all is dim,
All I feel is weariness in my limbs.
Head on the desk; pen in my hand;
Trying to conquer a thing I do not understand.

When I try to write, my finger’s ache,
My mind reels, and my inside’s quake.
This situation is such a shock,
The terrible thing called “Writer’s Block.”

When was the last time,
I came up with a rhyme?
Sitting up all through the night;
Unable to find any words to write.

Since you left I’ve been so blue,
Could this be because of you?
Or has some other thing;
Made my thought’s take wing?

Tomorrow like every other day;
I’ll walk through the park;
Stay there until long after dark.
Walk the water’s edge; throw some rocks;
And try to cure this thing called “Writer’s Block.”

I can't speak for others but I enjoy the "author's commentary" paragraph preceding the poem -- it's a refreshing extra, kind of like a DVD...  As for the poem, sounds to me like you knocked your block off...

You did exactly what is prescibed for every poet with the 'block' syndrome!!  That is to just sit down and write, doesn't matter what, just do it...kinda like kick-starting a bike.  Enjoyed this, and boy, could I relate to the frustration...lol...~S~
