The Pain Just wont subside
Thoughts of suicide are constantly on my wondering mind
I’m along for this bumpy ride
The last petal has fallen off the red rose
leaving the stem barren
Its thorns stabbing into my throbbing heart
I’m off to a rough start
the days go by like years
sleeping is my only vacation
I shower myself in darkness
cannot find the light
My world revolves around black and white
Rainbows are unheard of in my lonesome world
You go count your lucky stars well I sit here wishing for some

Sara, I'd say this poem shows a step in the right direction -- acknowledgement of strong feelings and sharing them with the world...  Perhaps the color begins with understanding words of encouragement from people who too have traveled the road described and in the realization that one is never truly alone if one doesn't want to be...  As for "Together Happy"...  isn't it fascinating how this truth is so simple that a 3-year old gets it but so many adults don't...?

I likewise feel your emotions in this poem; very deeply; as one who suffered teen depression until just after I turned 21, I fully understand the frustration the depression brings with it. But I truly can say there is life out there. I know depression can be beat, Poetry is a wonderful way to get the emotions out of you. I wrote poetry about unrequited love for years because of the deep loneliness I felt inside.
Our poetry is truly a God-given gift, to allow us a place for our pent-up emotions to go, and for others to read and feel with us or offer their support.

Your witing has good style and rthymn; keep writing, and never give up on life it is too precious and short.

Thank you, I'm fourteen going on fifteen in December, and Im doing my best to hold on.  Im trying to have faith that there is more to this life than sadness but its so hard sometimes.  Thank you for your encouragement and of course I will keep writing...I could never stop!!  My hand in touch with a pen or key board at almost every minute.  It lets your emotions flow and also makes beauty at the same time.  Thanks again.

Life is to precious to take away from yourself, but what if it's one of those presents that you want put back on the shelf in exchange for something e
