The hazy place that
held me unsurely
burned clear in early
summer sun.

With each cloud
memory dissipated,
leaving a landscape
free of form.

Thoughts water color
fall into panoramic
possibilities,

but each opportunity
finds a border --
the four-square of the frame.

And here is where I lay,
untamed as the wind,
yet captured by the
words within.

I am long brush strokes
across a blue horizon--
a rainbow bridge over
polluted refusal.
The sweet scent of
babies breath made
music in the reeds.

(Its demanding cries
caught in tangled trees).
Rock-a-bye this melody,
on a summer's breeze...

The sun is at its height already,
burning golden glow.
How many hours have I been here
caught up in repose?
The flowers nearest are stout strokes
but I can't match the shape.
Can't make the strokes,
can't form their notes,
can't compose the same warm day.

Turn the page...

The sun rises anew,
spots dot before my eyes,
obscuring yesterday's view.
So I paint the loner's hues.

Mike- You two are an awesome team...
I hope we get more from you

We are all equal but we’re individually different
and able to reach the impossible if we try.

Mikey and Tier . . .
this is heaven . . .

The sweet scent of
babies breath made
music in the reeds.

(Its demanding cries
caught in tangled trees).
Rock-a-bye this melody,
on a summer's breeze...

I was lying on a hillside reeling it all in
thank you . . . needed that break

First, lemme get over that pic, you.

grin...

so funny.

(who's trying to scare WHOM?)

(chuckle)

And this poem?

Wow.

You two took the sun, and wrote it out as cliche' of time, and light, and source of life, and managed to turn it all inside out and make me think thrice.

You took the sun and exposed the implosions.

Awesome.

(Next time you two get together, I'd love to be a fly on the wall...)

Mikey, is that you? Is that truly you? Are you just back for a little visit--a teaser?--or are you going to stay awhile!

You and Tiersdin just wrote a symphony of color. A total delight to behold!

Your pic is adorable! You look like a squirrel caught in the headlights! lol

Loves 'n hugs to you both!

I haven't even read this yet! Just wanted to tell two dear friends how happy just seeing this post made me.

Now, on to the poem...

Ok, now that I've read it, it's all I'd hoped for.

"The sun rises anew,
spots dot before my eyes,
obscuring yesterday's view.
So I paint the loner's hues."

Watercolors, yes
