Promise me
you'll smile tomorrow
I hear you kept your head down
smile for someone tomorrow
If it's me
my memory that curls
your brow to them
fade me away

Fade me further tomorrow
bury the hair upon your mind
stroke it further long
from you
grow me faster from your skin
nurture this forget you long to know

I fade you
knowing you are already
sitting in the dark
knowing you've changed
butterfly
you have cocooned

Promise me
not to come back
flutter my world again
trace lines to chances
and see they have
wrapped around you
for every one
I gave you
.
.
.
.

Instant karma's gonna get you.

You know, that's exactly what I started thinking approximately three hours and twenty eight minutes ago. I love this poem, as I like everything you write. *grin*

And you liked my poetry? Heh.. what's wrong with you?

Big sigh. You have distracted me for the time it took for me to read this poem (I read it twice because I love it) and for that I thank you.

Sometimes the grips evolve and I try to free myself but my hands just slip.

jaime.

the faeries creep into my hair at night leaving it in terrible knots

It's hard to ask them to go..
forever..

You want that freedom..
yet you loved..

YOU LOVED.. did they?..

Man I love this poem...what a cool, creative play on words and theme...and the title is groovy ooovy   LOL
HEY gem-girlie...
I have missed reading your gorgeous poetry..
my time in here is limited these days, and I know Im missing lots of poetry...I been looking on back pages and in Sanctuary to see what I missed of yours...has made for some lovely reads--- your muse is as generously inspired as it is gifted.

You're going to hear my voice in the morning calling your name ...
and know my love and my desperation were one and the same.
