The Misty Mile

I walked in guile a misty wile
And tore apart the old woodpile
Looked into the weary deep
And rode the river in its sweep

And there I found her in the glen
Amongst the flowers with the wren
Tossing daisy petals high
With a face and then a sigh

And I became her troubadour
With lute and lovely words of lure
Sang to her of reminisce
That ended in a dreamy kiss

I held her in my arms that night
While all my troubles passed in flight
And though it was a willing wile
I did wake up with quite a smile

And I’m delighted with the gift
That lifts me into heavens drift

What can I say, Sy...that I'm so pleased
when your mists of dream encompass us all?
Yes, that's what I can say...good morning,
Sy...thanks for starting Sunday off so well.

Hello, to you, this fine summer afternoon!

May you be forever gifted with dreams as pleasant as this one was--or was it a dream?...Perhaps that was your true reality, and the visions of your waking hours are in fact, your dreams.

Sweet reality, Dear Sonneteer!
